Miss USA Tara Conner, Trump lockdown begins

Miss USA Tara Conner may be out of rehab, but her boss, Donald Trump, and the Miss Universe organization have put her on a short leash when it comes to partying and clubs.

But Miss USA seems to have taken her stint seriously, as she appears in an interview with Matt Lauer of the “Today” show talking about her experience. Page Six says of the interview: Connor also admits taking antidepressants and other drugs that triggered an allergic reaction.

“I’ve tried several different things. But, you know, it’s always the same effect,” she says. “The more that I get it off my chest, the better I feel about myself. It’s not healthy for my recovery to sit here and hold things back.”

Friends are telling everyone the young beauty has relocated from Trump Tower to a bigger apartment which she shares with a chaperoned.

Jordana Brewster to star in Mr. & Mrs. Smith TV series

Jenny | CELEBRITY | Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

The veteran star plucker you’ll remember him from TVs ‘Project Greenlight’ has chosen Jordana Brewster (one of the most in-demand actresses at the moment) to star in the “Mr & Mrs Smith” pilot.

Assumingly, she’ll wear the skirt previously occupied by Angelina Jolie in the film.

The pilot, which is set to start shooting over the next couple of months, picks up about six months after the end of the film, and follows our typical suburban married couple who just happen to be undercover assassins on the side as they struggle to keep the spark in their marriage going, even as they try to save the world.

Brewster, best known for her roles in the films “The Fast and the Furious” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre : The Beginning”, has been in talks for quite a few pilots this year but this is obviously the one that took her interest the most (and probably has the best chance of survival).

Obama?s Liberal ?Facts?

GOP Bloggers | POLITICS | Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Obama is a partisan, there's no doubt about that.  But, I still feel I have to address this stupid comment that apparently appears in his book.

“The arguments of liberals are more often grounded in reason and fact,” the Illinois Democrat wrote in “The Audacity of Hope,” a memoir published last year. “Much of what I absorbed from the sixties was filtered through my mother, who to the end of her life would proudly proclaim herself an unreconstructed liberal.”
Now, how much more ridiculous can you get? Reason and facts have nothing to do with liberal arguments. Let's take a few examples.

Democrats support abortion, arguing that a fetus is a person, doesn't feel pain, etc. etc., yet they scowl at 4D ultrasounds that show just how human a fetus is, even try to prevent their use, and ignore scientific evidence that a fetus can feel pain.

Democrats support throwing more money at education, when an increase in education spending has never shown to improve the quality of education.

Democrats oppose tax cuts, despite their undeniable positive impacts on the economy.

Democrats support universal health care, which actually decreases the quality of health care significantly, and also is a major budget buster.

Democrats blindly insist that global warming is a fact, despite the fact that many scientists disagree on this, or suggest it is not caused by man.

You get the point? Obama is entitled to his own opinion, but he can't pretend that his opinions are based on facts.
